I love teaching and I love being a professor! I truly enjoy interacting with my students – I learn as much from them as they (hopefully) learn from me. This Fall semester, I taught two sections of Corporate Finance. This is a course that all business majors have to take so sometimes you have students in there that would rather be elsewhere 🙂 I also taught one section of Financial Management, which is geared towards senior finance majors. We took an in depth look at many companies that the students were familiar with such as Target, Tesla, Fedex, and Netflix among others. Finally, I taught an online graduate level Financial Management class. Online is truly a different dynamic and you have to work hard to keep the students engaged. It was great getting to know these online students who came from all over the country.
Now I am on a well-deserved break in St. Lucia, far away from the winter weather. Fun fact: I HATE winter!
